Avanlee
Birth & Maternity Center is one of only four birth
centers in Texas that is nationally accredited by the
Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC). |
A birth center provides a complete network of maternity and
women’s health services including: first-rate prenatal
care, laboratory and diagnostic testing, education, consultation
with specialists, attentive care during labor and birth, and
transfer to a hospital if the need should arise.
A birth center gives you confidence in your ability to give
birth, balancing the human touch and technology.
At Avanlee, we have many options for the expectant family.
Some of which are individualized complete prenatal care, Bradley
childbirth education classes, a Jacuzzi tub for a relaxing
water birth, a Masseuse to alleviate the discomforts of natural
childbirth, Postpartum and well-baby care all provided in
a spa-like setting.
Avanlee gives you the choice of two spacious birthing suites,
as well as a water birth suite, where you and your entire
family can enjoy the birthing experience.
Many hospitals offer maternity care: however, the midwives
at Avanlee go 10 steps further when it comes to compassionate/personal
attention, education and birth options. Understanding the
women’s needs and ensuring complete satisfaction are
of utmost importance.
We invite you to visit the birth center and see what awaits
you.

| I
decided to become a midwife after the birth of
my first son, Jonny. Because of the midwifery
care I received, it was one of the best experiences
of my life.
I have been a midwife since 2002. I began my training
in 1999 and attended births with five different
midwives in the Houston area. I love being a midwife,
and feel that it is a ministry and a calling,
not just a job.
I believe it is a woman's right to give birth
where and with whom she desires.
I have been a Regional Representative for Association
of Texas Midwives, and their Legislative Chair.
I have been married to my husband, Jonathan, for
8 years and am grateful to him for supporting
me in this challenging profession. I am a homeschooling
mom to my three wonderful children, Elizabeth,
Jonny, and Ethan.
