I believe it is a woman's right to give birth where and with whom she desires. I decided to become a midwife after the birth of my first son, Jonny. Because of the midwifery care I received, it was one of the best experiences of my life.
I have been a midwife since 2002. I began my training in 1999 and attended births with five different midwives in the Houston area. I love being a midwife, and feel that it is a ministry and a calling, not just a job.
I have been married to my husband, Jonathan, for 14 years and am grateful to him for supporting me in this challenging profession. I am a homeschooling mom to my four wonderful children: Elizabeth, Jonny, Ethan, and Micah.
